When I started making this tree, I kept thinking of the ones I used to see up North during the blistery winter. I paired it with a simple layer of snow, added a few ornaments and "voila!" The richness of the eggplant color (which I fell in love with) warms it all up a bit.
I always did love the Charlie Brown type of Christmas trees. Nice design.
